Clerk to the Parish Council
Anita Allsopp shuttpc@gmail.com 01827 830086

For the start of the year 2021 the council will usually meet via zoom on a Wednesday every month (excluding  August and December) at 6pm returning to a physical meeting in Shuttington & Alvecote Parish Hall whenever this is possible.

ANNUAL OPEN PARISH MEETING Hopefully this will go ahead this year although it may have to be via zoom, even though we would prefer it to be a physical meeting.  Normally by May every year the Parish Council hosts what is called the "Annual Parish Meeting" which always precedes the usual Council Meeting. All residents of the parish are invited to attend this meeting and discuss any matter that concerns them and to hear the Chair of the Parish Council outline plans for the forthcoming year. Because of the lockdown we will probably be unable to host a meeting this year as at the current time it would be in contravention of Government guidance. We have been instructed to "not pursue any arrangements for the Annual Parish Meeting until the Government has clarified matters".
However the Parish Council is still operating and carrying on the business of managing contracts, carrying out ongoing maintenance, etc. Therefore if you want to raise any matters that under normal circumstances you would like to have raised at a Council Meeting please send the Clerk, Anita Allsopp or any Councillor, an email or message."
