Your Parish Council
Shuttington Parish council is a statutory body and is the first tier of local government in England. . As a body accountable to the public, the parish council adheres to the Nolan Principles which were set by the Committee on Standards in Public Life
We serve the electorate and are independently elected. We raise a precept – a form of council tax – from the local community..
Your council works towards improving community well being and providing better services at a local level. Our activities fall into three main categories:

For the year 2019/2020 the council will usually meet on a Wednesday every month (excluding August & December) at 6pm in Shuttington & Alvecote Parish Hall.
The next meeting will be on Wednesday 22nd January 2020 at 6pm.
